[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 1일 포천시는 육군 제5군단에서 국군장병 건강 및 체력 증진을 위한 ‘한돈 행복 나눔’ 행사를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

대한한돈협회 경기도협의회와 포천시지부가 후원한 이번 나눔은 재해 복구와 가축방역 등 인력이 필요할 때마다 도움을 준 장병들에게 감사의 뜻을 전하고자 행사를 마련했으며, 돼지고기는 포천 축산농가에서 직접 생산한 한돈으로 2천만원 상당의 삼겹살을 전달했다고 했다.

경기도협의회 최영길 회장은 “국가 방위 임무는 물론 재난재해 피해 복구등 어려운 일에 앞장서 준 장병들에게 감사한 마음을 전한다.”라며 “앞으로도 지속적인 협력과 소통으로 지역발전을 위해 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.  

포천시 심창보 부시장은 “우리가 건강하고 행복한 일상을 보낼 수 있는 건 나라를 든든하게 지켜주는 군 장병이 있어 가능한 일이다. 앞으로도 민·관·군의 유대강화 및 상호 협력을 돈독히 하는 일에 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 전했으며, 김현종 5군단장은 “포천시와 농축산 발전을 위한 협력을 지속하겠다.”라고 화답했다.
