이에 따라 지역 상계·의료 수급자 557가구에게는 백미, 사회복지시설 11개소, 입소자 216명에게는 쇠고기 등 위문품이 지급되며, 백미는 각 읍·면 담당 공무원이 가구별로 방문해 전달하고, 쇠고기는 희망복지담당 공무원이 오는 28일 각 시설을 찾아 전달한다고 했다. 

중위소득 100% 이하 저소득 327가구에게는 강원 사회복지공동모금회에서 지원하는 위문금이 전해지며, 이와 함께 화천군은 설 명절 연휴 전후인 오는 1월 29일부터 2월 2일까지, 닷새 간 지역 아동들에 대한 급식지원에 나선다고 전했다. 

군은 아동복지법에 근거해 이 기간 도시락 지원대상자 62명, 지역아동센터 58명, 일반 음식점 지원대상자 11명 등 모두 131명의 급식을 도우며, 도시락은 지역자활센터 행복나눔도시락을 통해 아동들에게 배달되고, 급식을 제공하는 일반 음식점은 화천읍 7곳, 상서면 3곳, 사내면 8곳 등 모두 18곳으로, 아동들에게 음식점을 이용할 수 있는 식권이 지급된다고 했다. 

군은 보호자 부재 시 급식제공이 가능한 지역주민, 이장, 부녀회 등과 아동들을 연계하는 등 빈틈없는 지원망을 설계하고 있다고 전했다. 

최문순 화천군수는 “코로나19로 모두 힘든 시기이지만, 설 명절 연휴만큼은 군민들이 가족과 행복한 시간을 보낼 수 있도록 세심하게 현장에서 살피겠다”고 했다.
