[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시의회는 제9대 시의회 출범을 맞아 지난 18일과 21일 양일간 관내 유관기관을 방문하여 소통하는 열린 의정활동을 시작했다고 밝혔다.
이번 방문은 시의회 전반기 원구성이 마무리되면서 ‘소통과 공감대를 조성하는 협치의회’라는 의정 목표에 따라 현장의 목소리를 듣고 소통하기 위해 마련했다.

시의원들은 의정부시청을 비롯하여 관내 소방서, 경찰서, 교육지원청 등을 방문하여, 기관 간 유기적인 협조를 당부했다.

최정희 의장은 “47만 의정부시민의 복리증진 및 안전과 교육 등 의정부시 발전을 위해 맡은 바 책임을 다하고 계신 관계자분들께 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 유관기관과 더욱 적극적으로 소통하고 긴밀하게 협력하여 시민의 행복과 지역발전을 위하여 최선을 다하는 시의회가 되겠다”라고 말했다.
