[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 28일 의정부시는 의정부경찰서와 합동으로 시청 민원실에서 폭언·폭행 등 발생 가능한 특이민원 대비 모의훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 모의훈련은 민원실 내에서 발생 가능한 특이민원에 대한 가상의 시나리오를 구성하고 이에 따른 단계별 대처능력을 강화하여 보다 안전한 민원서비스 제공 환경을 조성하기 위하여 실시되었다고 말했다. 

의정부경찰서와 합동으로 실시된 이번 훈련에서는 민원인 진정 및 중재, 위법행위에 대한 사전고지, 폭행발생, 경찰신고 및 인계 등 단계별로 예상되는 비상 상황에 대하여 직원들의 대응요령을 훈련하고, 지난해 구축된 비상벨 시스템을 점검했으며, 또한, 비상 상황 대응반을 편성하여 상시운영 체계를 마련했으며, 특이민원에 대한 보고체계를 점검하는 자리가 되었다고 했다. 

김진혁 민원여권과장은 “훈련에 협조하여 주신 의정부경찰서 관계자분들과 시민여러분께 감사드리며, 이번 훈련으로 직원들의 비상상황에 대한 대응 능력 향상 및 특이민원에 대한 인식개선의 계기가 되었고, 앞으로도 지속적인 훈련을 실시하여 안전한 민원환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
