이날은 서울방향의 도로를 통제해 경찰의 안전한 유도에 따라 통행하는 이륜자동차를 확인 후 안개등 및 등화장치 등의 임의 개조 여부, 불법 부착물, 번호판 훼손 등에 대해 집중 단속하고 굉음을 내는 이륜차는 소음측정을 실시했고, 또한 단속반은 오토바이의 소음으로 인한 시민불편이 지속되고 있어 관련 민원이 다발한 지역이나 이륜차 통행량이 많은 지역을 임의 선정해 매월 주기적으로 만나 합동 단속을 강화하기로 했다고 전했다.

이번 단속결과 번호판 관리 소홀 12건, 등화 고장 및 LED바 설치 등 안전기준 위반 23건, 소음기 등 임의구조변경 11건으로 총 52건에 대해 자동차관리법 제10조, 제29조, 제34조에 의거 행정처분 및 형사입건이 이루어질 예정이라고 했다.
