[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군이 코로나19 예방접종 완료자의 확진이 잇따라 발생함에 따라 방역을 강화하는 등 지역사회 감염병 전파 차단에 총력을 기울이고 있다고 밝혔다.

홍천군에 따르면 백신 접종을 마친 뒤 확진된 돌파감염자는 전체 확진자 405명 중 65명, 11월 16일 기준인 것으로 파악했고, 연령별로 살펴보면 18세~49세가 34명으로 가장 많았으며, 60세~74세는 17명, 50세~59세와 75세 이상은 각각 7명씩 총 31명이 발생했고, 전체 돌파감염자 중 50세 이상은 47.6%를 차지하고 있다고 했다. 

이에 따라 대부분 5~7월 사이 백신 접종이 이루어진 60대 이상 연령층의 백신 효과가 저하되었을 가능성이 있어 효과를 강화하거나 효력을 연장시킬 수 있는 추가 접종의 필요성이 높아지고 있으며, 군은 요양병원이나 취약계층에 대해 지속적인 선제적 점검을 통해 방역수칙이 잘 지켜질 수 있도록 홍보하고 추가 접종을 실시하는 등 지역사회 확산 방지에 총력을 기울일 방침이라고 전했다.

또 접종완료자의 확진이 꾸준히 발생함에 따라 마스크 착용을 철저히 하고 타인과의 접촉을 삼가는 등 개인 방역을 철저히 지키는 것이 코로나19를 예방하는 최고의 방법임을 지속적으로 홍보할 계획이라고 했다.
