[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 7일 캠코(한국자산관리공사)는 자산매입 후 임대(Sale&Lease Back)* 프로그램으로 인수한 공장ㆍ사업장 등 건물에 대한 임대료 감면 기간을 올해 12월말까지 연장한다고 밝혔다.

* 자산매입 후 임대(Sale&Lease Back) 프로그램 : 캠코가 일시적으로 유동성 위기를 겪고 있는 기업으로부터 공장, 사옥 등 자산을 매입해(우선매수권 부여) 신규자금을 지원하고 재임대함으로써, 기업이 사업기반을 유지하면서 경영정상화를 도모할 수 있도록 지원하는 제도

이번 지원대책은 정부가 지난 6월 발표한 ｢새정부 경제정책방향｣에 따른 후속 조치이며, 임대료 감면을 통해 캠코는 코로나19 장기화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인ㆍ중소기업의 경제적 부담 완화와 코로나19 위기 극복을 지원한다.

캠코는 S&LB 인수 건물을 임대해 사용하고 있는 소상공인ㆍ중소기업에 대한 임대료 감면 기간을 ’22년 6월말에서 ’22년 12월말까지로 6개월간 연장한다. 

기간 내 임대료를 25% 감면하고, 연체기간별 7%∼10%인 연체이율을 5%로 일괄 인하한다.

지난 ‘20년 3월부터 ’22년 6월 말까지 캠코는 S&LB 인수 건물에 입주한 127개사에 총 162.1억원을 지원했으며, 이번 조치를 통해 89개사에 대해 총 32.4억원의 임대료를 추가 감면할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

원호준 캠코 기업지원본부장은 “이번 추가 지원이 코로나19 장기화로 지쳐있을 소상공인과 중소기업에게 작은 위안이 되길 바란다“며, “앞으로도 우리 경제의 기초이자 근간인 소상공인과 중소기업이 신속히 어려움을 극복하고 경영정상화를 이룰 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다“고 말했다.

한편, 캠코는 올해 7월부터 부산광역시와 함께 부산 소재 S&LB 지원 기업에 임대료를 지원하고 있으며, S&LB 지원 기업에 중소벤처기업진흥공단의 구조개선 전용 정책자금을 연계 지원하는 등 기업의 경영정상화를 위해 다양한 지원체계를 구축하고 있다.
