[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 캠코(한국자산관리공사)는 지난 5일 부산국제금융센터(BIFC) 본사 3층 캠코마루에서 보호종료* 예정 아동의 자립과 아동보호시설 개보수 지원을 위한 기부금 1억원을 초록우산 어린이재단에 전달했다. 

* 아동복지법에 따라 만18세 이후 경제적 자립 유무와 관계없이 아동보호시설(보육원 등)에서 퇴소하여 사회로 나가야 하는 아동

이번 기부금은 ‘2022년 캠코 사회공헌활동’ 계획의 일환이며, 전달식에는 캠코 신흥식 부사장과 초록우산 어린이재단 측 노희헌 부산지역본부장과 홍보대사인 코미디언 이홍렬씨가 참석했다. 

전달된 기부금은 초록우산 어린이재산을 통해, 보호종료 예정 아동의 대학진학, 취업지원 등 실질적 자립을 위한 자기계발비 등에 5천만원, 노후화된 아동보호시설 개보수와 가구․가전 구입에 5천만원이 각각 지급된다. 

캠코는 이번 기부금이, 보호종료 예정 아동들이 보다 쾌적하고 안전한 환경에서 미래를 건강하게 준비하여 성장하는데 밑거름이 되기를 기대하고 있다. 

아울러, 이날 행사에 참가한 코미디언 이홍렬씨는 캠코 임직원들을 대상으로 재능기부인 ‘FUN DONATION 특강’을 실시하여, 나눔문화 참여를 통한 사회적 책임과 나눔의 가치에 대해 함께 공유하는 시간을 가졌다. 

신흥식 캠코 부사장은 “캠코는 지난해부터 지자체 등 협업해 보호종료 아동의 자립과 보호 사각지대 해소를 위해 노력해왔다”며, “앞으로도 보호종료 아동들이 조금이라도 더 힘차게 사회로 나아갈 수 있도록 후원자 역할을 강화해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다. 

한편, 캠코는 지난해부터 부산시 등 지역 유관단체와 보호종료 아동 자립 지원 사업(D.I.Y 챌린지), 캠코 청소년 직장 체험활동 등 다양한 자립 지원 사업을 자체 발굴하여 시행하고 있다.
