이번 행사는 광적면 지역사회보장협의체 마을복지사업의 일환으로 명절이 되면 외로움을 더 크게 느낄 독거노인 등 취약계층의 행복한 명절 나기를 위해 실시했다고 전했다.

협의체 위원들은 지역 내 저소득 취약계층 30가구에 직접 방문해 기력회복에 좋은 소고기와 햄, 식용유, 참기름 등이 담긴 선물세트를 전달하고 불우이웃의 건강을 살피며 안부를 확인하는 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

이태순 공동위원장은 “명절을 앞두고 그 어느 때보다 가족의 정이 그리워지는 때이지만 조금이라도 위안을 받을 수 있도록 정성껏 선물꾸러미를 준비했다”며 “우리 협의체가 지역복지 활성화를 선도하는 공동체의 구심점이 돼 더욱 사람 냄새나는 광적면 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
