[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 13일 양주시 광적면은 광적농협 부녀회가 관내 취약계층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 위한 온품캠페인 성금 100만원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이번 성금은 광적농협 소속 부녀회가 각종 농수산물 등을 판매하여 얻어진 수익금으로 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 이웃들의 어려움을 조금이나마 함께 나누고자 후원한 것이고, 이날 기부받은 성금은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 도움이 필요한 복지사각지대에 놓인 관내 저소득 고령노인, 장애인, 한부모 가정 등 소외계층을 위해 사용될 예정이라고 했다.

박보윤 회장은 "코로나19로 누구보다 힘든 나날을 보내고 있는 취약계층이 따뜻한 연말연시를 보낼 수 있도록 회원들의 작은 정성과 뜻을 모아 마련했다"며 "앞으로도 어려운 이웃과 함께하는 나눔 사업에 적극 참여하겠다"고 전했다.

권순용 면장은 "더운 날, 추운 날 가리지 않고 물심양면으로 봉사해주시는 광적농협 부녀회에게 진심으로 감사드린다"며 "소중한 성금이 생계에 어려움을 겪는 주민들에게 큰 힘과 위로가 될 것이다"라고 말했다.
