[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 27일 양주시 광적면은 지역 내 활동 중인 제3기 여성친화도시 서포터즈를 대상으로 간담회를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 2021년 광적면 여성친화도시 특화사업으로 추진한 ‘감동과 배려가 있는 광적면 행정복지센터 환경 개선사업’ 추진현황과 서포터즈 활동사항을 공유하고 여성친화도시 구현을 위한 정책제안 등 향후 추진계획을 심도있게 논의하고자 마련했다고 했다.

올해 특화사업인 ‘감동과 배려가 있는 광적면 행정복지센터 환경 개선사업’의 세부 내용을 살펴보면, 행정복지센터 내 1층 여성화장실 여성용품 무료자판기 설치를 비롯해 임산부·영유아·동승자·고령자 등 교통약자를 위한 배려주차장 안내표지판 설치, 사회적 배려대상자 우선 민원창구 설치 등을 완료했다고 전했다.

특히 오는 10월까지 교통약자를 위한 배려주차장을 이용자의 접근성과 시인성 등을 고려해 출입구에서 가깝고 잘 보이는 정문 앞으로 재배치하고 주차구역 도색작업을  마무리할 계획이라고 했다.

간담회에 참석한 서포터즈 A씨(여, 00세)는 “코로나19로 인해 서포터즈 활동이 많이 위축됐는데 간담회를 통해 광적면에서 추진 중인 특화사업 진행현황을 알게 돼 알찬 시간이었다”며 “앞으로도 일상생활 속 차별과 성평등에 대해 꾸준히 고민하고 모니터링하며 실효성 있는 정책제안을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
