[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 3일 사단법인 희망을나누는사람들은 어려운 이웃을 위해 1억 5천만 원 상당의 장난감과 생활용품을 포천시에 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 물품 전달은 지난 5월 포천시와의 희망나눔연결운동 업무협약에 따른 것으로, 두 기관이 상호협력을 강화해 포천시의 미래를 이끌어 갈 아이들이 건강하게 성장해 갈 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

김정안 회장은 “박윤국 시장님의 적극적인 지지와 협력으로 포천시의 취약계층 지원이 좀 더 수월하게 진행되고 있다. 앞으로 더 많은 후원 물품을 포천시의 어려운 이웃들에게 전달 할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”며 소감을 밝혔다.

박윤국 시장은 “장학금과 컴퓨터를 기부한 지 얼마 지나지 않아 어려운 이웃을 위한 물품을 추가로 전달해주셔서 감사드린다. 포천시는 앞으로도 민관협력을 강화하여 더욱 내실 있는 지원이 이루어 질 수 있도록 더욱 노력할 것이다.”며 감사의 말씀을 전했다. 

한편, (사)희망을나누는사람들은 10명의 아동들에게 12개월 간 매월 5만 원씩 장학금을 전달할 예정이며, 2명의 아동에게 100만 원 상담의 컴퓨터를 전달한 바 있다고 전했다.
