[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 7일 포천시 화현면 지역사회보장협의체는 관내 취약계층 500여 가구를 위한 건강한 여름나기 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 박윤국 포천시장을 비롯하여 화현면 이장협의회, 주민자치위원회, 새마을부녀회, 바르게살기위원회, 지역사회보장협의체가 참여하고 화통누리 후원회, 도성사, ㈜제일스티로폴, 돌거북, 송창순 님의 후원을 받아 삼계탕과 떡을 지원했다고 했다.

또한, 화현면 취약계층을 위해 지속적으로 후원을 하고 있는 ㈜로뎀푸드와 ㈜포천음료에서도 죽과 물을 후원했다고 전했다. 

이번 여름나기 행사 지원을 받은 한 어르신은 “매일 마을을 둘러보는 이장과 부녀회장·보장협의체 위원들이 있어 외롭지 않다.”라며 “덕분에 맛있는 삼계탕과 떡도 먹을 수 있어 감사하다.”고 말했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “이번 여름나기 행사에 참여해주신 민간단체 및 개인들에게 감사의 인사를 드린다.”라며 “앞으로도 포천시는 복지포천을 만들기 위해서 아낌없는 지원을 약속하겠다.”고 말했다.
