[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 지난 19일 시청 시정회의실에서 군 사격장 및 비행장에 따른 소음피해 보상을 위한 ‘2022년 제2회 군 소음 대책 심의위원회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

군 소음피해 보상은 군용비행장·군사격장 소음 방지 및 피해 보상에 관한 법률이 시행됨에 따라 2020년 11월 27일부터 2021년 12월 31일까지 기간 중 국방부에서 고시한 소음대책지역에 주소를 둔 주민을 대상으로 소음대책지역 종별에 따른 기준에 맞춰 개인별로 금액을 산정해 지급하는 제도다.

심의회에서는 지난 5월에 개최된 ‘제1회 군소음대책심의위원회’에서 결정된 군소음피해보상금 지급 대상자 총 824명을 대상으로 5월 30일부터 6월 30일까지 접수된 이의신청을 심도 있게 심의·의결했으며, 이의 신청자에게 이번 주까지 결과를 개별 통지할 계획이다. 

한편, 지난 5월 지급 결정 통지서를 받은 대상자의 경우 보상금 결정 내용에 이의가 있을 시 오는 29일까지 평화기반조성과 또는 관할 읍면동 행정복지센터로 방문해 이의신청하면 된다.

1차 심의회에서 확정된 군소음피해보상금은 8월 말까지, 이의신청 건에 대해서는 10월 말까지 지급할 계획이다. 

포천시 관계자는 “소음 피해를 입은 주민들이 합당한 보상을 받을 수 있도록 국방부에 지속적으로 건의하는 등 보상금액을 현실화하기 위해 다각적으로 노력을 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.
