[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 20일 더불어민주당 경기도당 공천심사위원회는 오는 6월 1일 실시하는 지방선거 포천시장 후보로 박윤국 현 포천시장의 공천을 확정했다고 밝혔다.

더불어민주당 소속 포천시장 후보로 박윤국 포천시장 외에 강준모 현 포천시의원, 최호열 포천신문 명예회장 등 3명이 출마 선언을 했었다.

이에 지난 18일 박윤국, 강준모, 최호열 등 3명의 더불어민주당 포천시장 예비후보들은 수원에 있는 더불어민주당 경기도 당사에서 합동으로 공천 면접을 받았으며, 박윤국 포천시장이 최종 결정됐다.

박윤국 포천시장은 오는 5월에 후보등록 할 예정이며, 이 후 본격적인 선거운동에 나선다고 밝혔다.
