[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시와 강원도소방본부가 함께하는 ｢소방관과 함께하는 ‘제1회 대한민국 청소년 안전캠프’｣가 오는 18일부터 다음달 4일까지 3주간 365세이프타운과 강원도소방학교에서 운영된다고 전했다.

행사의 서막을 알리는 개회식은 오는 18일 오전 11시 365세이프타운에서 개최되며 행사는 오는 18일부터 오는 29일까지 총 4회차 2박3일간 프로그램으로 회차당 약 400∼500명의 학생들이 참가하며 전 프로그램 과정을 현직 소방관들이 인솔한다.

전국 최초로 개최하는 제1회 대한민국 청소년 안전캠프는 생존수영, 재난체험, 응급처치 등 필수 안전교육 프로그램을 현직 소방관 인솔 아래 체험할 수 있으며 야외 캠핑은 물론 야간프로그램으로 캠프파이어와 별자리 및 은하수 체험 등을 할 수 있도록 이색적이고 색다른 체험프로그램으로 운영된다.

또한, 오는 8월 1일부터 8월 4일까지 3박 4일동안 ‘제10회 119 청소년단 전국안전캠프’가 운영되며 전국 119청소년단원 700명이 참가하여 캠프 프로그램과 태백시 관광지를 둘러볼 예정이다.

태백시 관계자는 “올해 첫 운영되는 대한민국 청소년 안전캠프를 통하여 청소년들에게 안전의식을 제고하는 기회가 되고 더불어 매년 지속적으로 운영함으로써 태백시가 K-안전의 허브 역할로 도약하기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.
