[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 19일 포천시 영북면적십자봉사회는 사랑의 밑반찬 열무, 얼갈이 김치 나눔행사를 추진했다고 밝혔다.

이번 나눔행사는 회원 30여명이 참여해 지역에서 생산한 재료를 이용한 열무와 얼갈이 김치를 외롭고 경제적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 소외계층 어르신 130가구에 전달했으며, 이날 행사장에 방문한 박윤국 포천시장과 조용춘 포천시 시의원은 나눔의 노고를 치하하며 감사의 인사를 전했다고 했다.

홍명희 영북면적십자회장은 “적십자회는 노인세대가 주를 이루고 있는 우리 지역특성에 맞게 나눔사업을 추진해오고 있다. 향후에도 어르신들을 위한 나눔사업을 끊임없이 펼쳐나갈 계획이다.”라고 밝혔다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “역사가 긴 영북적십자봉사회는 나눔행사에 회원들의 참여도가 높으며 지역의 취약어르신을 특별히 잘 챙겨주시는 것으로 알고 있다.”라면서 “나눔은 나눌수록 작아지는 것이 아니라 나눌수록 더 커지는 것이다. 지역발전을 위해 민관이 함께 더욱 노력해 나가자.”라고 말했다.
