[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 하계 휴가철을 맞아 숙박시설 이용객 보호 및 공정한 숙박시장 조성을 위해 불법 숙박영업 특별 합동 단속을 실시 한다고 밝혔다.

주요 단속 대상은 신고되지 않은 시설이나 숙박업이 불가한 시설에서 숙박업을 운영하고 있는 무신고 숙박 의심업소, 블로그·온라인 중개 플랫폼에 게시된 무신고 의심업소, 숙박업으로 신고된 업소 중 불법 증축, 편법 운영 의심업소 등이며 단속 기간은 지난 7월 20일부터 오는 8월 31일까지로 자체점검반을 편성하여 주1회 실시한다.

특히 온·오프라인 모니터링을 통해 무신고 숙박업소 영업행위 및 숙박업소 불법·편법 운영행위에 대해 집중 단속하며 동시에 숙박업소의 위생관리기준 준수 및 관계 법령 준수 여부도 살피고 현장 단속에서 적발된 무신고 숙박업소들은 ‘공중위생관리법’ 제20조제1항에 따라 2년 이하의 징역형 또는 2천만원 이하의 벌금형에 처해질 수 있으며 등록된 업소라 하더라도 ‘공중위생관리법’, ‘관광진흥법’, ‘농어촌정비법’등을 위반한 행위가 적발되면 그에 따른 행정처분 또는 형사처벌 대상이 된다.

황현숙 보건소장은 “휴가철 고성군을 찾아주신 관광객들이 사고 없이 안전하게 여행할 수 있도록 집중 단속을 철저하게 추진하고 안전하고 위생적인 숙박 환경 조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
