[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 25일부터 오는 3월 31일까지 양주소방서는 공사장 화재로 인한 인명·재산피해 저감을 위해 의용소방대 화재안전지킴이 활동을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
화재안전지킴이 활동은 겨울철 소방안전대책의 일환으로 관내 대형공사장 18개소를 대상으로 화재예방 순찰과 안전지도 위주의 활동으로 진행된다고 했다.
예방순찰은 의용소방대원이 2~3인 1조로 구성하여 실시되며, 공사장내 용접·용단작업 시 화재 안전조치 여부와 가연성 가스 발생 동시 작업 금지 지도등의 화재예방 활동을 수행한다고 전했다.
박미상 양주소방서장은 “공사장은 많은 사고의 위험이 있어 관계자의 안전관리가 중요하다.”며 “화재안전지킴이 운영 등 적극적인 예방활동을 통해 안전한 사회분위기 조성에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
