[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군은 중대재해 예방을 위해 선제적 대응에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

군은 시민과 종사자의 생명과 신체 보호를 목적으로 하는 '중대재해 처벌법'이 지난달 27일부터 시행됨에 따라 '중대재해대응TF팀'을 신설했다고 전했다. 

'중대재해처벌법'은 사업장, 공중이용시설 등에서 안전·보건 조치를 위반해 인명피해가 발생한 경우 사업주와 경영책임자를 처벌하는 내용을 담고 있으며, 경영책임자에는 지방자치단체장이 포함되고, 중대재해대응TF팀의 구성원은 현재 2명으로 향후 안전관리자, 보건관리자 등을 추가로 선임할 예정이며, 홍천군에서 관리하는 사업장 및 소관 시설물 등에 대한 중대재해예방업무를 총괄한다고 했다.

세부업무로는 '중대재해예방에 필요한 안전·보건관리체계구축 및 이행·점검', '중대재해예방 업무처리절차 마련', '재해발생 시 재발방지대책 수립', '각종 안전·보건 관계 법령이행여부 점검' 등을 수행하며, TF팀은 오는 25일 홍천군 문화예술회관에서 중대재해처벌법 관련 직무교육을 실시하고, 약 150명의 공직자를 대상으로 2시간 정도 진행될 이번 교육은 중대재해 처벌법의 이해, 법 시행에 따른 홍천군의 의무 및 이행사항 등의 내용으로 실시하여 홍천군 공직자의 안전역량 강화에 철저를 기할 예정이라고 전했다.

허필홍 홍천군수는 “중대재해처벌법 시행과 함께 전담조직을 신설해 중대재해 예방을 위한 안전관리를 강화했으며, 앞으로 지속적인 안전점검과 체계적인 재해대응체계를 구축해 군민·종사자 모두가 안전하게 생활 할 수 있는 중대재해 없는 안전 홍천을 실현 하겠다”고 말했다.
