[남상훈 기자 = 양양군] 양양소방서는 겨울철 증가하는 화재위험을 대비하여 화재로 인한 인명 및 재산피해를 예방하기 위해 주택용 소방시설 설치의 필요성이 증가하며 각종 소방안전교육이나 화재예방캠페인 시 주택용 소방시설을 설치하도록 권장, 안내하는 등 다양한 대상에게 다양한 방법으로 홍보에 열을 올리고 있다고 밝혔다.

양양소방서에 따르며 주택용 소방시설은 단독경보형감지기와 소화기를 말한다. 소화기의 경우 각 세대·층별 1개 이상, 단독경보형감지기는 방·거실 등 구획된 실마다 1개이상 설치해야 한다.

화재가 발생 시 초기에 감지기의 작동으로 신속한 대피가 가능하며  초기 화재의 경우 소화기로 진압할 경우 인명 및 재산피해를 최소화 할 수 있어 그 역할이 매우 중요하다.

최식봉 양양소방서장은 “주택용 소방시설의 경우 화재 초기 소방차 1대의 역할을 할 수 있다.”며 “주택용 소방시설은 이제 선택이 아니라 필수이니, 화재 안전을 위하여 꼭 구비하길 바란다.”고 말했다.
