[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기도북부소방재난본부(본부장 고덕근)가 소방 안전을 저해하는 불법행위 근절에 나섰다. 경기북부 철물건재판매소 22곳에 대한 기획단속을 실시하겠다는 것. 

이를 위해 특별사법경찰 30명으로 단속반을 구성, 10월 4일부터 오는 11월 4일까지 약 1개월간 단속을 벌일 예정이다. 

단속사항은 ▷건축 현장 보온연료 무허가위험물 저장 또는 취급 여부 ▷지정수량 이상 위험물의 운반자 자격 기준 준수 여부 ▷기타 소방 관계 법령 위반 여부 등이며 사전 고지 후 불시에 방문해 점검을 할 예정이다.  

위법 사항이 있을 경우 사법 처리나 시정명령을 통해보완 조치토록 하고, 건축법 등 타 관계 법령 위반 시에는 관계기관에 통보해 안전한 소방 환경으로 개선해 나간다는 방침이다.

소방본부는 최근 잇따르고 있는 철물점 화재와 날씨변화에 따른 건축현장 보온연료 등 판매량이 증가하고 있어 단속  계획을 마련했다. 

고덕근 본부장은 “다가오는 겨울철은 화재 다발 시기이므로 선제적으로 대비하는 것이 중요하다”라며 “이번 기획단속으로 화재 위험요인을 면밀하게 확인하여 도민의 안전을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
