[김현우 기자 = 양주] 양주소방서는 지난 3일 정성호 국회의원과 한상민, 이지연, 최수연, 정희태 양주시의원이 양주소방서를 방문하여 소방공무원을 격려했다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 시민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 최일선에서 활동하는 소방공무원들을 격려하고 소방정책과 애로사항 등을 청취하며 소통의 시간을 갖고자 마련됐다.

이날 정성호 국회의원은 양주소방서장으로부터 주요 업무 현황과 2023년 업무 계획을 청취하고 양주시 소방안전을 위한 다양한 의견을 나누었으며 대원들을 만나 격려하고 애로사항 등을 청취했다.

정성호 국회의원은 “재난현장에서 묵묵히 최선을 다하는 소방공무원분들께 감사를 드린다”며 “소방관의 처우를 향상시키는데 지속적인 관심을 갖고 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
