[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군에서는 20일 임계 남·여 의용소방대 신축 청사 준공식을 개최했다.

임계면 송계리 684번지 일원에 새롭게 신축된 임계 남·여 의용소방대 청사는 5억 5,000만 원의 사업비를 투입해 352.5㎡ 부지에 건축면적 128.4㎡ 2층 규모로 1층은 남성의용소방대가 2층은 여성의용소방대 사무실로 활용하고 각 층마다 회의실, 출동 대기실 등의 시설을 갖추고 있다.

이번 신청사 준공으로 의용소방대원 상호간 소통을 통한 전문능력 향상은 물론 소방현장 활동 지원 및 지역 주민들의 안전을 위한 다양한 봉사활동의 거점시설로 거듭날 것으로 기대하고 있다.
