[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 14일 자원봉사단체 새빛회는 관내 어려운 주민들을 위해 이웃돕기 성금 200만원을 가평읍과 북면 행정복지센터에 각각 기탁했다고 밝혔다. 

새빛회는 '새로운 빛을 환하게 밝힌다'의 의미로 1996년 자원 봉사 활등을 목적으로 조직되어 현재 25명의 회원이 도움이 필요한 곳곳에서 활동을 이어오고 있으며, 이날 기탁된 성금은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 관내 거주하는 저소득층에게 전달될 예정이라고 했다.

새빛회 회장(김성근)은 “코로나19로 힘겨운 나날을 겪고 있는 이웃들에게  다가가 이웃들과 마음을 나누는 따뜻한 겨울이 되었으면 좋겠다.”며  미소로 기탁 소감을 밝혔다. 

성금을 전달 받은 가평읍과 북면 관계자는 “코로나19로 모두 힘든 시기에 어려운 이웃에게 사랑과 격려를 아끼지 않는 새빛회가 날로 성장하기를 바라며 뜻깊은 활동을 통해 우리 마음을 넉넉하게 채워 줘서 감사하다”며 “따뜻한 겨울이 되도록 필요한 곳에 잘 전달하겠다”는 뜻을 전했다.
