[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 국민의힘 서태원 가평군수 후보가 지역발전 방향을 담은 '가평읍·북면' 공약을 발표했다.

가평읍 '가평군의 중심 북한강 자라섬 관광·축제 조성' 

가평읍은 명실상부한 가평군의 행정·문화의 중심지이며, 관광객 또한 많이 찾는 곳이다.

서후보는 가평읍을 관광·축제의 중심으로 만들기위해 ▲북한강 자라섬 중심 스마트관광 뱃길 조성 ▲자라섬 축제를 중심 시가지 종합축제로 개선 ▲가평 역사기념관 건립 및 전적지 안보관광 공원 조성 ▲가평읍 외곽순환도로 구축 ▲가평역 역세권 활성화 방안 강구 ▲평생학습관 건립 및 교육사업 프로그램 편성 운영 ▲보납산 도시공원화 추진하겠다는 발표를 했다.

북면 '명지산 등의 산림자원과 한국전쟁 전적비 중심의 안보관광지 조성'

북면은 가평군 6개 읍면중 가장 넓은 면적임에도 불구하고 대부분이 산지 지역에 도로 현황이 좋지 못하여 접근성이 어려운 것이 현실이라고 했다.  

서후보는 북면 교통망 확충을 위해 ▲북면 적목리-조종면 상판리 가평군 외곽순환 직통도로 개설▲명지산 산림문화테마파크 조성 ▲화악리 한국전쟁 기적의 전투현장 안보관광지 조성 ▲북면 도시공원 야간 경관 조성 ▲3.15 독립운동 발상지 호국관광화 추진 ▲미·영연방참전 관광 안보 공원 조성한다는 계획을 세웠다고 밝혔다.
