지난 2월~3월에 개강한 가평 휴식 아카데미 기초 과정은 가평읍, 청평면, 조종면에서 막걸리, 맥주, 와인, 소시지, 바비큐 수업을 5회 과정으로 진행하였으며 군민들의 뜨거운 관심을 받고 종료했고, 4월~오는 5월에 개강할 기초 과정은 맥주, 와인, 막걸리, 소시지, 바비큐, 축제 음식 과정을 모집하고 있으며, 정규 과정에 참여하기 어렵거나 맞춤 교육을 원하는 단체 또는 체험마을을 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 교육’도 실시하고 있다고 전했다. 

가평 휴식아카데미는 가평 농촌신활력플러스사업의 일환으로 운영하고 있는 술, 음식 교육 아카데미로, 가평 군민을 대상으로 식음료 분야 전문 인력을 양성하기 위해 올해까지 진행된다고 했다.
