[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 6일 의정부시는 안병용 의정부시장이 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 의정부시의 저소득층을 위한 성금 200만 원을 기탁하고 의정부시 나눔리더 20호로 가입했다고 밝혔다.

이날 가입식은 시장실에서 열렸으며, 강주현 경기사회복지공동모금회 북부사업본부장을 포함해 관계자 3인이 참석했다고 전했다.

나눔리더는 사회복지공동모금회에서 나눔 문화를 선도하기 위해 실시하고 있는 기부사업의 일환으로 1년 내에 기부금 누적액 100만 원을 초과하는 개인 기부자가 가입할 수 있는 프로그램이며, 이날 각각 100만 원의 성금을 기탁한 홍숙자 호원1동통장협의회 부회장을 비롯해 홍춘복 호원1동주민자치회 회장, 박종춘 자율방범대 대장, 서인석 로체스터 재활병원 병원장, 최해권 대표 등 총 5명 시민들의 나눔리더 가입식도 함께 진행해 뜻이 깊었다고 했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “의정부시의 어려운 이웃을 발굴해 돕는 데 조금이나마 도움이 됐으면 하는 마음으로 기부를 하게 됐다”며 “앞으로 타 지자체로도 나눔 릴레이가 이어지도록 나눔 문화 확산을 선도해 따뜻하고 훈훈한 소식으로 가득한 연말이 되도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
