[남상훈 기자 = 양구군] 오는 11월 1일부터 12월 15일까지 양구군은 가을철 건조한 날씨로 인한 산불 발생 위험이 증가함에 따라 가을철 산불조심기간으로 정하고 산불방지대책본부 운영 등을 통해 산불예방에 총력 대응한다고 밝혔다.

양구군은 산불방지대책본부를 운영하여 산불예방 진화대·산불감시원 등 진화감시인력 70명을 배치하고, 각 기관별 산불방지 대응 태세를 점검하고 유관기관 비상연락체계를 유지하면서 산불방지에 적극 대응할 방침이다.

산불 발생의 대부분이 허가받지 않은 영농부산물, 생활쓰레기 소각과 입산자 실화 등의 이유로 발생한다. 이에 따라 산림연접지역 100m이내 경작지의 영농 부산물 등 산불 위험물질을 사전에 제거하고, 입산통제구역은 감시인력을 배치하여 계도 및 집중 단속한다.

이밖에 신속한 초동 진화를 위해 초기·중형·대형·초대형(야간) 산불 등 모든 단계에 진화자원을 집중 투입하고, 산림항공본부, 소방, 군부대 등 유관기관과 협력하여 헬기 공조진화 체계를 구축하고 산불 발생 시 양구경찰서와 산림특별사법경찰 합동으로 산불을 조사해 산불가해자에 대한 수사도 강화할 방침이다.
