[김택곤 기자 = 영월군] 영월군은 산림청 주관 ‘2022년 소각산불 없는 녹색마을 만들기’에서 상동읍 내덕2리와 자체 선발한 남면 연당5리, 김삿갓면 주문2리 마을이 우수마을에 선정돼 25일 각 마을회관에서 현판식을 갖고 시상금 각 100만원을 전달한다고 밝혔다.

‘소각산불 없는 녹색마을 만들기’는 산불 발생의 주요 원인인 논·밭두렁, 농·부산물, 각종 쓰레기 등의 불법 소각행위를 사전에 차단하고 산불 예방 홍보 및 교육을 강화하기 위해 산림청에서 시행하고 있는 캠페인으로, 불법 소각을 하지 않고 산불방지에 기여한 마을을 대상으로 선정한다.

최명서 군수는 “녹색 우수마을로 선정된 것은 이장님과 주민들이 협력한 결과로써 마을의 명예와 자긍심을 높이는데 좋은 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다”며 “앞으로도 산불이 발생하지 않도록 모두가 적극 노력하여 주시길 당부드린다”고 말했다.

영월군은 이날 캠페인 외에도 '산불전문예방진화대'를 조기운영 하는 등 산불 예방에 심혈을 기울이고 있다.
