[서종협 기자 = 평창군] 평창군(군수 심재국)은 산림청에서 선정하는 2022년 소각산불 없는 녹색마을에 방림면 계촌4리 마을이 선정되어 26일(월) 계촌4리 노인회관 일원에서 약 50명의 마을 주민들이 참석한 가운데 현판식을 실시하였다고 밝혔다.

소각산불 없는 녹색마을은 봄철 산불의 주요 원인 중 하나인 밭두렁과 영농 부산물의 불법 소각을 막기 위해 도입한 사업으로 마을 공동체의 서약을 통해 주민들이 자발적으로 참여하였다. 

녹색마을로 선정된 계촌4리 주민들은 봄철 산불조심기간동안 불법소각 근절을 위한 캠페인 및 예방활동 등 자발적인 산불예방 및 감시활동 등 소각산불 없는 녹색 마을을 만들기 위해 노력하여 단 한건의 산불도 발생하지 않았다. 

이성모 산림과장은 “소각산불 없는 녹색우수마을 선정은 계촌4리 마을주민들이 산불예방에 적극적으로 노력한 결과물”이라며 “앞으로도 녹색우수마을의 확산과 산불예방 활동 추진으로 군민의 소중한 생명과 재산을 보호하는데 앞장서겠다.”고 말했다.
