[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시는 산불 발생 위험이 높은 가을철을 맞아 오는 12월 15일까지 산불방지대책본부를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

대책본부는 본청 1개소, 읍면동 18개소, 총 19개소를 운영하며 기상여건에 따라 탄력적으로 운영할 계획이다.

산불전문예방진화대 122명, 산불 유급감시원 140명, 총 262명을 배치하고, 산불감시 카메라 16개소 35대를 24시간 가동한다.

관내 절대 산림보호구역 및 주요 산림지역에 대해 산불방지 종합상황실 CCTV 및 관제 시스템을 활용하여 감시하고 순찰활동도 병행할 예정이다.

아울러 동해안산불방지센터, 강릉소방서, 동부지방산림청 등 유관기관과 상시 비상연락망을 유지해 효율적인 산불 방지체계를 구축하고 캠페인, 플래카드, 안내방송 등을 통한 홍보로 산불 예방과 신고에 주민 참여를 유도할 계획이다.

강릉시 관계자는 “사소한 부주의가 큰 산불로 이어질 수 있어 세심한 주의가 필요하니 산불방지 조심 기간에 시민들과 관광객들의 많은 협조를 당부한다”고 말했다.
