 2021년 수락산 등산로 정비사업은 3억1천만 원 ‘도비 1억2천500만 원, 시비1억8천500만 원’의 사업비로 석림사부터 전망대까지 약2㎞의 구간에 추진한 사업이라고 했다.

시민들이 보다 안전하고 편리하게 수락산을 즐길 수 있도록 통행이 불편한 구간과 미끄러짐 우려가 있는 급경사지 구간은 목재데크 계단을 설치하고, 계곡부는 목교를 설치하여 우기철에도 통행이 가능하도록 조성했으며, 구간 내 안내판 16개소, 이정표 11개소 등을 정비해 방향안내는 물론, 사고 위험 구간도 미리 등산객에 알려주고, 협소하고 급경사인 암벽구간에는 안전로프와 안전사다리를 설치했다고 전했다.

황범순 의정부시 부시장은 “시민들의 안전한 산행길을 위해 수락산 입구부터 전망대까지 등산로 및 안전시설물에 대하여 꼼꼼한 현장점검을 통해 지속적인 정비사업을 약속하고 의정부 시민들이 숲이 주는 무한한 혜택을 온전히 받을 수 있도록 아름다운 수락산이 훼손되지 않도록 가을철 산불예방에 더욱 관심을 갖고 단풍을 즐겨주시길 당부드린다”고 밝혔다.
