[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시는 올해 하반기 임용 예정인 신규임용 공무원들을 대상으로 산불 대비 근무복(산불복)과 태풍 및 우천 대비 근무복(우의) 등 공직생활에 필요한 물품이 담긴 ‘굿즈 박스’ 를 신규공무원 임용식 시 전달할 계획이라고 전했다.

‘굿즈 박스’ 전달은 시민의 재산과 생명을 최우선으로 지키기 위해 재난 현장 최일선에서 근무하는 지방직 공무원의 특성을 고려, 신규 임용 공무원들의 안전한 비상대비 근무를 위해 재난 대응 관련 피복을 지원하기 위한 것이다.

또한, 최근 전국에서 신규공무원들이 임용 전 본인이 생각했던 공직생활과 실제 공무원 생활과의 괴리로 인한 사직자가 많이 발생하고 있고, 물가 상승 등 행정 내·외적으로 급변하는 환경 변화에 따른 공무원들에 대한 인식의 변화 등 공무원들의 근무 여건이 어려워지고 있는 상황 속에서 신규임용 공무원들에게 공직자로서의 사명감 부여 및 자긍심 고취를 위한 방안으로 진행된다.

속초시는 기존 신규임용 후 근무 중에 지원되던 재난 대응 관련 피복을 20~30대 트렌드에 맞춰 ‘굿즈 박스’ 형태로 제작 신규 임용식 시 전달하여 기존 임용장 전달만 하는 경직된 분위기의 임용식 방식을 탈피하고, 앞으로도 신규공직자 임용식 진행 시 임용장과 함께 ‘굿즈 박스’ 전달을 통해 공직자로서의 첫출발을 시작하는 신규임용 공무원들의 임용을  축하하고 공직자로서의 마음가짐을 다지는 자리를 만들어갈 예정이다.
