[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 14일 삼척시 근덕면 동막리 산526-1지 일원에서 오전 4시49분 경 원인미상의 산불이 발생했다. 

삼척시는 오전 6시30분 경 박상수 시장을 중심으로 문의재로에 현장통합지휘본부 수립하고 삼척시, 산림청, 소방, 군부대 등 5개 기관이 참여하는 1차 현장 유관회의를 개최한 뒤, 대응에 나선 오전 9시 경 주불 진화를 완료했다.

이날 산불은 오전 4시 50분 경 발생됐으며, 현장 여건은 초속 5m의 서풍을 타고 번지는 상황이었다. 시당국은 본청소속 진화대원 200명과 5개 읍면 진화차 5대, 진화대 65명을, 동부지방산림청은 진화차 4대, 진화인력 44명을 투입했다.

일출 이후 강풍이 잦아든 오전 7시 40분 경 산림청은 초대형 소방헬기 2대. 대형5대를, 삼척시는 임차헬기 2대를 집중 투입해 마읍천, 초당저수지, 오리저수지를 담수지로 주불 진화 이후, 현재 잔불 진화중에 있다.

한편, 이번 산불로 화재현장 인근 마을에 대피령이 내린진 이후 11가구 9명은 동막5리 마을회관으로 대피했으나,불길이 잡히면서 모두 귀가했다., 

산불로 인명피해는 확인되지 않았지만 산림 3㏊가 소실된 것으로 현장통합지휘본부는 추정하고 있다.
