가평 소방서에 따르면 지난밤부터 비가 그친 오늘 오전까지 가평군에서는 사망사고 1건, 자연재해 6건, 그리고 배수 지원으로 출동 4건 등 모두 11건의 사건 사고가 발생해 출동 한 것으로 집계됐다. 

사망사고는 가평군 가평읍 가평천에서 발생했다. 1일 오전 6시 30분경 급류에 휩쓸려 떠내려오는 할머니를 발견한 A씨는 곧바로 신고를 했고, 신고를 받고 출동한 소방당국은 할머니를 구조해 심폐소생술을 실시하며 병원으로 이송했으나 끝내 사망했다.

경찰은 현재 자세한 사건 경위를 조사하고 있는 것으로 파악된다. 

자연재해로 인한 사고는 상면 행현리와 청평면 대성리 등에서 토사가 유출됐고, 상면 항사리에서 차량이 침수됐다는 신고를 받고 출동 했으나 인명 피해는 발생하지 않은 것으로 알려진다. 

한편, 가평군은 1일 오전 7시까지 토사유출 8건, 수목전도 4건, 낙석 1건, 침수 4건, 차량침수 2건, 기타 17건 등 총 36건의 피해사항이 접수됐다고 밝혔다. 

교통 통제가 이뤄지고 있는 곳은 모두 3곳으로 청평4리 세월교, 전구간이 어제 오후 2시 30분부터 통제 되고 있으며, 대보리 군도13호선 미개설구간 0.4km, 청평 안전유원지 도로 등이 통제되고 있다. 

현재 가평군은  사고발생 지역 중 26건에 대해서는 조치를 완료하였고, 토사유출과 차량침수가 일어난 10여 곳에 대해서는 조치를 하고 있는 것으로 파악된다. 

또한, 대책본부를 마련 비상 근무 중이며, 위험지역에 대해서는 안내문자 발송 및 예경보시스템 활용해 피해를 최소하기 위해 노력하고 있다.
