[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 22일 의정부시의회는 실효성 있는 정책개발과 전문적인 입법활동을 위해 2021년 5개 연구단체를 구성하여 5월 착수보고회를 시작으로 7월과 8월에 연구용역 중간보고회를 개최했고, 10월과 11월에 최종보고회를 개최함으로써 5월부터 11월까지 180일간 수행한 연구용역을 성황리에 완료했다고 밝혔다.

2021년 의원연구단체는 지방행정 연구회(최정희, 오범구, 김정겸 의원), 체육 행정·복지 연구회(김연균, 정선희, 김영숙 의원), 태권도 공연·문화콘텐츠 연구회(구구회, 조금석, 박순자, 김현주, 임호석 의원), 숲체험 및 산림 치유 활성화를 위한 연구회(안지찬, 이계옥 의원), 향토문화 연구회(임호석, 구구회, 조금석, 박순자, 김현주 의원)로 총 5개 연구단체가 활동했다고 했다.

개별 연구과정에서 연구주제와 관련된 집행부 담당자, 자문위원 등의 참여를 통해 연구 결과가 현장에서 현실적으로 활용될 수 있도록 방안을 모색하여 연구결과의 활용도를 높였다고 했다.

연구단체에 참여한 의원들은 연구결과를 바탕으로 5분 자유발언(“천상병 생가 복원을 요청한다”), 「지방자치법」전부개정에 따른 의정부시의회 대응 방안 모색, 연구 활동 관련 조례 제·개정 (「태권도시범단 운영 조례」일부개정, 「의정부시 미래유산 보존·관리 및 활용에 관한 조례」제정) 등 연구결과가 의원정책개발과 입법활동에 크게 도움이 되었다고 평가했다고 했다.
