포천시는 경관자원조사와 분석, 기본구상 등을 통해 변화하는 도시환경에 부합하는 세부적인 방향을 설정하고, 시민들이 공감하고 함께 만들어갈 수 있는 합리적인 기준을 마련할 방침이라고 했다.

심창보 포천시 부시장은 “2030 포천시 경관기본계획은 포천의 아름다운 경관의 방향을 제시하고 사업 실현의 추진 기반을 마련하기 위한 계획이다.”라며 “발전지향적인 계획이 될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 시는 이날 진행된 착수보고회 의견을 토대로 체계적인 계획을 수립하고 시민공청회 및 경관위원회 심의 등을 거쳐 내년 9월 경관기본계획을 완료할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
