[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군 평생교육사업소는 지난 25일 청평도서관에서 교육지원사업에 대한 학교 실무자 의견 반영 방안 마련을 위한 회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

교육지원사업은 가평의 아이들이 학교에서 보다 다양한 경험을 할 수 있도록 지원하고자 필요한 비용의 일부를 가평군이 지원하는 사업이다.

이날 회의는 가평군의 교육지원사업과 관련한 정책을 결정할 때 사업의 중요한 축을 이루는 학교 실무자의 의견 반영이 미흡했던 점을 개선하기 위해 진행됐다고 했다.

가평군 내 초, 중, 고의 사업담당자 실무자와 가평교육지원청 관계자, 가평군 평생교육사업소장을 비롯한 담당 공무원 등 30여명이 참석하였고, 이 날 약 2시간에 걸쳐 학교의 의견 수렴 방안에 대해 열띤 논의가 진행됐으며, 각 학교가 겪고 있는 해당사업에 대한 건의사항도 청취했다.

회의 결과에 따라 앞으로 가평군이 교육지원사업과 관련하여 연2회 이상의 학교 실무자들과 대화의 자리를 추진하고 이를 바탕으로 가평군 교육지원사업의 정책을 결정 할 예정이라고 전했다.

올해 가평군은 이를 위해 교육경비보조금 43억7천6백만원을 편성하고 무상급식, 학교 환경개선사업을 비롯하여 프로그램 사업인 생존수영, 영어교육활성화 교육, 학교 개성살리기 사업, 문화예술 특별프로그램 등의 운영을 지원하고 있다고 밝혔다.

가평군 관계자는 “이번 회의를 계기로 학교의 보조사업 담당자들과 가평군 간 정기적인 소통의 장을 지속적으로 마련하겠다. 앞으로 꾸준히 학교 현장의 의견을 들어 학생을 위한 교육 지원 사업을 펼치겠다.”고 전했다.
