[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 4월 21일 원주지방환경청 청장 이창흠은 통합허가사업장의 효율적인 관리와 개선방안 논의를 위해 지역협의체를 구성하고 발대식을 개최하였다고 밝혔다.

협의체는 원주지방환경청, 한국환경공단 및 통합허가사업장 12개 (GS 동해전력, 춘천에너지) 등의 환경관련 부서장으로 구성되었다고 했다.

이날 발대식에서는 배출시설 및 방지시설 적정운영 여부 점검, 대기·수질·악취 측정 등 정기검사제도에 대한 개선사항을 논의하고 향후 운영 방안 등을 논의했다고 전했다.

향후 지역협의체는 반기 1회 정기 회의를 개최하여 사업장 환경관리 발전방안을 논의하고 문제점을 발굴하여 개선하는 소통의 장으로 발전시킬 계획이라고 했다.

이창흠 청장은 “통합허가는 기존에 환경관련 7개의 개별법령과 10개의 인·허가 절차를 통합하여 최적관리함으로서 오염물질을 최소화하는 것이 목표”라며, “이번 협의체 구성이 관내 통합허가사업장들의 환경관리 역량을 높이는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
