[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 8일 동두천시 소요동행정복지센터는 동사추 봉사회와 ‘소요동 뜨개질로 전하는 독거노인 마음잇기 포그니사업’ 관련 MOU를 체결했다고 밝혔다.

동사추 봉사회는 ‘동두천을 사랑하고 추억하는 모임’의 약자로 뜨개질를 통해 관내 지역주민들에게 봉사를 해온 단체로, 금번 소요동과 MOU협약을 통해 소요동 독거노인들에게 뜨개질로 직접 선물을 만들어 전달할 계획이라고 했다.

금번 특화사업은 소요동 지역사회보장협의체와 동사추 봉사회의 MOU협약을 통해 단순 기부물품 전달에만 그치지 않고, 복지사각지대 발굴 등 찾아가는 복지사업의 활성화 및 지역사회 통합돌봄 실현에 기여할 것으로 기대된다고 전했다.

소요동행정복지센터 장지봉 동장은 “동 자체 사회단체에만 의존하던 민관 협력과 복지사각지대 발굴을 민간봉사단체의 참여로 사업을 확대하고, 함께 추진함으로써  촘촘한 복지 그물망이 형성되었다”라며 “민관 협력을 통한 다양한 복지서비스 발굴 및 지원을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
