[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시가 지난 3월 1일부터 시내버스 개편노선이 본격 운행에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

이번 노선개편은, 주민 의견을 수렴과 운수업체 여건 등을 반영한 시스 노선개편 용역을 통해 주 52시간 근무제 시행으로 감회된 운행횟수를 복원하고 일부 노선을 신설·증회했다.

주요 개편사항은, 삼일중·고~삼척중학교~삼척여고를 경유하는 노선이 추가되는 등 학생들의 통학 여건이 개선됐다. 또한, 건지주공~정라진 순환노선(107번)이 신설되어 1일 20회 왕복 운영으로 시내 외곽 주민들의 교통 편의가 증진된다.

특히, 이번 노선개편에서 동해역(KTX)~추암해변을 경유하는 노선(112번)이 신설됐다. 해당 노선은 삼척터미널, 삼척시청, 강원대학교(5공학관), 후진, 증산, 추암, 동해역(반환점)을 경유한다. 

또한, 기존 삼척터미널~증산 간 노선(111번)은 추암까지 연장 운행하여 관광객들에게도 교통 편의를 제공한다. 아울러 강원대학교 삼척캠퍼스(5공학관) 경유 노선(112번, 21-3번)이 추가되어 대학생들의 이동 여건도 향상된다.

이밖에 근덕~상군천(202번), 근덕~상마읍(212번, 213번) 등 근덕 순환노선이 신설되고, 삼척터미널~금계 노선(220번)이 2회로 증회(오랍드리버스 포함 총 3회)되며, 삼척~호산 직행구간 노선(240번, 241번)이 신설되어 교통 취약지역 주민들을 위한 교통 여건도 개선하였다.

한편, 시내버스 노선개편에 따라 기존에 운영 중인 미로면, 근덕면, 노곡면 소재 마을의 오랍드리버스 경로와 시간이 일부 변경되어 운행된다. 

이번 시내버스 개편 노선은 1~3개월간 시범운영을 거쳐 확정됐으며,  자세한 노선변경사항은 삼척시청 홈페이지를 참고하거나 삼척시청 교통과로 문의하면 된다.

안금수 교통과장은 “개편된 버스노선 운행이 조속히 안정화되어 시민들에게 편리한 대중교통 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
