[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 11월 15일부터 17일까지 의정부시는 시내·마을버스 이용 승객들이 안전하게 대중교통을 이용할 수 있도록 하기 위해 관내 시내버스 운행업체를 대상으로 안전기준 준수사항 등 일제점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 일제점검은 시내버스 안전사고를 사전에 예방하고 시민들에게 안전하고 쾌적한 여객서비스를 제공하기 위한 것으로 버스운수 업체(시내 4개, 마을버스 6개)를 대상으로 방역사항 및 차량정비 전반에 대한 지도·점검을 실시한다고 전했다.

이번 중점 점검 사항은 시내버스 안전과 직결되는 타이어마모, 등화장치, 안전장비 비치 여부 ‘소화기, 비상탈출 망치 등’, 사고대비체계 구축 여부 ‘보험, 공제 등 가입 여부, 부상자 구호 및 초동조치요령 교육 여부’, 차량청결 상태 및 난방장치작동 여부,  운수종사자교육 여부 ‘운수종사자 준수사항, 교통안전 및 사고 예방 등’, 운행 전 운수종사자의 건강상태 확인 여부 ‘음주여부 확인’, 코로나 감염증 예방을 위한 차량 방역 여부, 운수종사자 마스크 착용 의무 지도 여부, 손 소독제 비치 여부 등 안전 분야에 대해 집중적으로 점검한다고 했다. 

지도·점검과정에서 위반이 경미한 사항은 즉시 시정 조치를 하고, 시정사항에 대해서는 향후 정기 점검 시 개선 여부를 확인하여 미흡한 부분들은 개선명령 등 행정처분을 통해 개선해 나간다는 계획이며, 버스운수업체 및 운수종사자의 안전의식 제고를 위하여 점검일정 등을 사전 고지하는 한편, 안전점검에 대비해 업체 자율로 안전장치 정비, 노선안내도 부착물 정비 등 사전점검을 유도해 보다 안전한 대중교통 문화를 조성한다는 계획이라고 밝혔다.
