[김준호 기자 = 동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 ‘건강하고 행복한 노후생활 보장’을 목표로 초고령사회에 대비한 선제적 대응체계 구축을 강화를 위해 내년도 노인복지예산을 전년 당초 예산 대비 약 10%(78억여원) 증액된 848억여원으로 편성했다고 밝혔다.

 

현재 14,400여명에게 지급되는 기초연금에 대한 집중 홍보 등을 통해 사각지대에 놓여진 대상자를 추가 발굴, 안정적인 소득기반 제공을 통한 노후생활 보장을 강화하고, 치매전담 요양원 신축과 재가노인복지시설 치매전담실 증축 등 노인복지시설 확충 및 시설 종사자 교육을 통한 서비스 질 향상에 주력한다는 방침이다.

 

특히, 전년 대비 약 4.8%(231명) 늘어난 5,006명의 노인일자리 및 사회활동 참여자를 선발하여 공익형, 사회서비스형, 시장형, 취업알선형 일자리에 투입하는 한편, 여가활동 활성화를 위해 북삼동 6통·16통 경로당과 삼화동 금곡경로당을 신축하고, 노후 된 경로당 개보수 및 경로당 냉·난방비 지원, 양곡 구입 지원, 각종 프로그램 운영을 지원할 예정이다.
