[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3일, 동두천시 중앙동행정복지센터는 공인중개사와의 협력을 토대로 복지 위기가구 발굴 활동을 추진했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 활동은 지난 3월 2일 오후에 진행되었고, 강제퇴거 또는 화재, 기타 주거 곤란으로 인해 공인중개사 사무소를 방문하여 임대료가 저렴한 주택을 문의하는 취약계층을 선제적으로 발굴하는 위해 실시되었다고 했다.

출장 당일 중앙동에 소재한 공인중개사 사무소 대표와 업무 협의를 실시한 결과, 예상보다 주거 취약계층이 많은 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 향후 복지 상담과 도움이 필요한 주민이 있을 경우 중앙동행정복지센터에 제보하기로 하였다고 전했다.

이춘우 중앙동장은 “기초주거급여 등의 공공복지 서비스를 지원받을 수 있지만 관련 정보를 알지 못하여 신청하지 못하는 사각지대를 찾아내기 위해 총력을 기울이겠다”고 전했다.
