[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 28일, 동두천시 불현동 새마을지도자 및 부녀회는 불현동에 거주하는 저소득층 가정을 방문해 노후 연탄 보일러 교체 봉사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.  

이날 노후 연탄보일러 교체 봉사는 저소득층 가정의 안전하고 쾌적한 겨울나기를 위해 실시하였으며, 새마을지도자회 윤수정 회장은 “경제적 어려움을 겪는 이웃들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있을 것 같아 보람을 느낀다. 앞으로도 도움이 필요한 이웃들을 위해 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 이어나가겠다”고 전했다. 

김지일 불현동장은 “이웃을 위해 땀 흘려 봉사해주신 새마을남녀지도자회 회원들에게 감사드리며, 불현동에서도 복지사각지대 발굴과 취약계층 지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
