[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 무분별하게 설치되는 공공용 현수막 불법 게시 근절과 효율적인 시정홍보를 위해 저단형 공공용 현수막 게시대를 확대 설치했다고 밝혔다.

저단형 현수막 게시대는 높이가 낮아 바람의 영향이 적고, 보행자와 운전자의 시야를 방해하지 않아 주요 도로변이나 보행로 등에 설치가 용이하고 도시미관의 개선과 시정홍보에 효과적이다.

양주시는 이달 차량 통행이 많은 가납사거리, 송추IC 등에 59개소를 확대 설치했으며 현재 총 113개소를 운영 중이다.

또한 오는 11월까지 52개소를 추가 설치해 공공기관 불법 현수막 게시를 근절하고, 공공기관이 솔선수범하며 올바른 광고문화 정착에 노력할 방침이다. 

강수현 양주시장은“저단형 공공용 현수막 게시대를 지속적으로 확대 설치하여 공공용 불법현수막을 근절하고 효율적인 시정 홍보를 통해 올바른 광고문화 정착에 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
