[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 지난 14일과 17일 양일에 걸쳐 교육복지우선지원사업 담당자인 교육복지사와의 정담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 정담회는 작년 12월 교육복지협의회 시 정 위원장이 경기도교육청 교육복지기획과 신설(’22.1.1.)에 맞춰 현장의 의견 청취를 위해 정담회 필요성을 제시하여 추진됐다고 했다.

경기도교육청 최진용 교육복지기획과 과장은 “교육복지기획과 신설에 발맞춰다양한 관계자가 참여하는 소통의 장이 열려 매우 뜻깊게 생각한다” 며 “교육복지 증진에 기여할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 계획” 이라고 말했다. 

정윤경 의원은 “현장의 어려움을 청취하고 피드백하고자 이 자리를 마련한 것”이라며 “소통을 통해 교육복지우선사업과 현장 담당자들에 대한 어려움을 늘 청취하겠다” 라고 밝혔다.

또한, “아이들이 행복하려면 선생님들이 행복해야 한다” 며 “불편부당한 사항이 있다면 언제든지 의회와 소통해달라” 고 말했다. 

정담회에서 현장의 담당자들은 전보, 교류에 따른 인사 고충, 급여 현실화 및 고용 안정 등 인력 운용의 합리성과 교육복지사 처우 개선에 대한 의견 등을 개진했고, 업무의 적정화 및 체계화 요청, 교육복지 전문인력 역량 강화, 협업 담당교사 배치 등 교육복지우선지원사업 내실화에 대한 다양한 의견들도 쏟아냈다고 했다.

정윤경 의원은 교육복지조정자 및 교육복지사들에게 깊은 감사를 표하는 한편,  현장에서의 중요성에 대해 강조하며 “현장 담당자들의 개선 요구 사항과 교육복지우선사업이 활성화 될 수 있도록 지속적인 소통을 통해 의견 수렴을 하겠다” 면서 지속적인 관심과 노력을 기울일 것을 약속했다고 전했다.

한편, 정윤경 의원이 주최한 이번 정담회는 장학사, 주무관, 교육복지조정자 등 도교육청 및 교육지원청 담당자와 학교의 교육복지사 등 약 120여명이 참석했으며, 사회적 거리두기 및 참석 대상의 업무 일정 등을 고려하여 온라인 줌(ZOOM) 회의로 2번에 나눠 개최됐다고 전했다.
