2월 8일 의정부을지대병원은 ‘의정부시 등산로 안전 폴리스 연합대’에 약 500만 원 상당의 인명구조용 구급가방을 후원했으며, 아울러 지역사회 안전 및 등산로 범죄예방을 위해 유관단체를 대상으로 응급구조 교육을 지원할 방침이라고 했다.

김병식 원장은 “지역사회에 온정을 보탤 수 있어 기쁘게 생각하며, 앞으로도 의정부시뿐만 아니라 서울·경기 북부 지역민의 건강증진과 안전을 위해 든든한 동반자 역할을 해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.

의정부경찰서가 2016년 전국 최초로 발대한 ‘등산로 안전 폴리스’는 관내 등산로에서 발생하는 범죄 예방 및 공동체치안 활성화를 위해 지역주민과 합동순찰, 방범시설 확충 등 등산로 안전 활동을 위해 노력하고 있다고 밝혔다.
