[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3일, 동두천시는 경우회 자문위원회와 함께 소요산을 찾은 등산객을 대상으로 산불예방 캠페인을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 캠페인은 대형산불 특별대책기간을 맞아 산불방지를 위한 시민 공감대 형성을 위해 실시되었으며, 코로나19 방역지침을 준수한 가운데 산불방지 국민행동요령 유인물 배부 및 참여 서명부 작성 등으로 진행되었다고 전했다.

산불예방 캠페인 현장에서 시민들에게 산불예방을 적극 독려한 경우회 자문위원회 양순종 회장은 “경기북부를 대표하고 동두천의 소중한 자산인 소요산을 아름답게 유지하기 위해서는 시민 스스로의 노력과 관심이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 내 고장을 위해 봉사하는 일에 최선을 다하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

시 관계자는 “동두천시는 작년과 올해 단 한 건의 산불도 발생하지 않고 있으나, 더욱 경각심을 가지고 산불로부터 시민의 귀중한 생명과 재산을 보호하는데 최선을 다하겠다”라며,“산불발생 및 위험상황 발생 시 동두천시 공원녹지과로 신고해 줄 것”을 당부했다고 말했다.
